Among many other services, we treat spinal cord tumors, cerebral hemorrhage, brain aneurysms, carpel tunnel syndrome and other neurological treatments. During a consultation, we will go over the patient’s condition and determine which procedure will best treat the specific health issue.
There are numerous factors that can determine if surgery is the best treatment option. A general physician may refer a patient to us if symptoms of serious brain or spinal health issues appear. In other cases, patients may seek our institute after other treatment options have failed. When we begin the examination, we will go over a patient’s history and determine if there are any effective non-surgical options.

The length of surgery will depend entirely on the type of surgery and the patient. In some cases, the surgery can take anywhere from 4 to 12 hours. We will make sure to go over the logistics of the surgery, including the time frame, with the patient before the surgery.
Following the surgery, the patient may need to remain bedridden for at least a few days. After the bedrest, the patient will be able to begin adjusting back into a normal routine for lifestyle. However, it will depend entirely on the type of procedure and extent of the patient’s condition.
Depending on the type of surgery, yes, there will be rehabilitation after the surgery. Rehabilitation can include a mix of physical therapy sessions, exercises and stretches at home, pain management and other techniques for helping to relieve pain. We will go over all possible options for rehabilitation with the patient.
